Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the cold to run, walk and volunteer! Our mission is to provide and advocate for quality child care and early education. The proceeds raised by the Right Steps Run will be used to help numerous families in Greater Lafayette afford the highest quality care for their children. Did you know that child care is one of the highest cost budget items for families? According to the 2017, Parents and the High Cost of Child Care Report, on average in the U.S., the cost of child care accounts for 10% of a married household's income, and 36% of a single parent's household income. The Right Steps Run is a family-friendly fundraiser that helps alleviate some of that financial stress for children and families in Greater Lafayette. Join us at the beautiful Prophetstown State Park for a great time outdoors with family and friends to support children in our community.
We believe all children deserve quality child care that prepares them for future success. In an effort to continue to find ways to help families in our community we created the Right Steps Run. The first Right Steps Run took place in 2014. Runners and volunteers enjoyed a brisk Saturday morning run together in support of the Right Steps mission to provide and advocate for quality child care and early education. We received great feedback and aim to increase participation and support each year. Join us as we help provide our next generation with care that prepares them for life-long success.
Our faithful community partners continue to support this event each year. All participation helps Right Steps in providing quality child care for children in our community. *Statistics have proven that giving children early access to high quality child care and education helps them perform better in school. It is this agency's vision that all children be actively engaged in quality early care and education that prepares them for future success and life-long learning. We look forward to working with you to make an even greater impact on a child's future!
